Computerized Radiography (CR)

Computerized radiography is taking X-ray images in a computerised, digital format. The advantages over conventional form of x-ray imaging are:

  • Ability to transmit the image over computer network.
  • Ability to store on CD-ROM and other media for future comparison.
  • Wider exposure range.
  • Ability to manipulate image to improve quality and avoid repeat exposure.
  • Reduce radiation exposure to patient.
